Back to business...

Myself and Paul (Journalist for Seen Intern)

Yes I am still working closely with Seen Magazine (Internship)

My manager Rebecca- wanted me to film the Launch of the Red Door Liverpool and the Beauty Holistic Lounge Launch on the same night.

Furthermore Rebecca gave me a deadline of one week for the videos to be completed.

I had a fantastic time and met the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, whilst also interviewed her too!

Beauty Holistic Lounge Launch

With being the director, producer, cinematographer and editor of this video in the space of one week, I feel that I did quite well. Although, I feel I need to focus more on the sound as it can be quite irritating to listen to. Therefore, I will speak to a University Lecturer who will help me with this.

The Red Door Launch

With only a week to create two videos by myself it was quite a short space of time, but this made me realise that this is the type of industry I will be working within. Everybody nowadays wants news straight away- therefore this will be something I will have to get used to when working with any media industry.

The video did what my manager asked for, although the lighting inside was slightly dark, therefore next time I will need to consider lighting. The sound was not too great either, therefore I will have to use an external mic.

But this is what it is all about- learning. Undertaking the internship with Seen Magazine alongside my University course has done me big favours, because although I learn the skills and knowledge at University- this does not offer me the experience and learning from a business perspective.

Therefore, after I have completed my course I will be confident to work in the industry rather than still learning when I finish.

My manager was pleased with my effort- and has told me some more dates for my diary which I will be filming events.
