Alongside other modules I am undertaking in my final year, there is also a Work Based Learning Module... which effectively gets you prepared for the REAL WORLD!
One of the tasks I had to undertake was to write a 1,000 essay about a company I am interested in, as well as the sector of the business too.
Furthermore, after doing work experience a CW Publishing, I learnt that publishing is a part of the media which I extremely enjoyed.
Therefore, I did some research and found the EXCLUSIVE, glossy magazine which is also made within the area I live in. Meanwhile, I decided to email the company explaining if I could visit them and ask them some questions in order to write the essay coherently.
I was delighted after I had emailed the Managing Director, that he was willing to help.
What a pleasure to meet Neil, I thoroughly enjoyed learning about his business. Meanwhile, the thought of him expanding the business is something that I would be interested in helping him with.

The Work Based Learning Scheme really does give you confidence when interviewing the business owners, whilst learning about what they want from employees will help myself understand how to showcase myself to help the success of their business.
