It's that time of the year... it's my final year at University... which only means one thing.. DISSERTATION.

Surprisingly I am looking forward to my dissertation because I am extremely engaged in the subject areas I have chosen to speak about. 

I got my dissertation proposal back from my lecturers receiving a 2:1 which I am very happy with.

Is mine the best one of them all?
My dissertation is going to discover how much is our life on screen becoming our first life. Whilst, what do we mean by "privacy" anymore, are we an over-sharer?
Furthermore, it will also discover the impact technology has influenced our relationships along with are we starting to live in a lonely world, with ourself and our technology.

A video I watched today on Youtube which I thought was extremely engaging was: Mike Wesch- Digital Ethnography

He explains how students "are so emerged, that it's almost invisible" in regards to digital technology. When he questions what the future will be like for students, he expresses that they will be... 

"preparing for a world of change"

He also explains how they will always have to be keeping up-to-date with trends, and that they will not be in a job were it will be the same until they retire.
"No matter what career path you're on, you are going to have to 
reinvent yourself all along that journey"
