My University years are nearly coming to an end... it has gone too quickly but I am surprisingly excited to start pursuing my media career. 

 The Havin Turkish Restaurant- Southport, Merseyside- Are always in contact with myself in regards to designing menus and advertisements for their company.

Meanwhile, after reconstructing their old menus which they were very pleased with they have also got in touch to design the Valentines Day Menus.

I decided to start the Menu with a front image which will make the consumer want to read the menu, rather than it being a compulsory element of going to a restaurant.

The viewer will then turn over the menu, to find the dishes they can choose from.

Alongside my dissertation I am also undertaking The Production Project- which is a short documentary about the journey of a child's adoption breakdown. This was the idea I came up with which has been carried out with myself and two other members. Before christmas our team have been doing lots of planning and researching and now we are in the production stage.

We created a Facebook group which allows all the team to post images, videos or content for the production- not only that it also allows us to time manage or ask any questions or queries. Meanwhile, this could be done by email or text, but it becomes a long scrolling session if you might have been busy all day, were as Facebook it keeps it all together in one post, therefore much easier to catch up with the information.


The group have been working effectively because we have worked a lot individually and brought our ideas to the group as we found this works better, as sometimes sitting in a group and asking each other to come up with an idea can be slightly time consuming.

We have also used Pinterest which has been a great tool to be able to capture a theme and be able to illustrate it ourselves from some of the ideas researched.

He also explains how they will always have to be keeping up-to-date with trends, and that they will not be in a job were it will be the same until they retire.

Hesketh Decorators is a company which I have been working closely with to enable them to have an online presence. Furthermore even though the company has been around for such a long time, new clients will ask "Do you have a website?" or "Do you have any images of previous jobs?"

The company just needs to merge with the technology and not see it as a threat. Furthermore I have designed them a website, along with Facebook group, Twitter Account and Instagram..

Now the company can work with the digital age too... they loved my design skills and have been getting work from this.

They also have a Rated People account where customer reviews are shown, as well as images which I have updated for them.

What a pleasure to meet Neil, I thoroughly enjoyed learning about his business. Meanwhile, the thought of him expanding the business is something that I would be interested in helping him with.

The Work Based Learning Scheme really does give you confidence when interviewing the business owners, whilst learning about what they want from employees will help myself understand how to showcase myself to help the success of their business.

I am invited to the.... #CelebrationofStyle... well due to my manager having a tight schedule she wanted me to attend this press event on behalf of Seen. I had a meeting with my manager who explained to me what it would be about and what she would like me to do.
