One of the first assignments of my final year was to come up with an idea to be able to pitch within a lecture to around fifty people.

Furthermore the aim of the assignment is to be able to individually come up with an idea, research, expand and elaborate with the idea whilst then be able to sell the idea to the class.


My idea was about a recent experience when my friend told me she was a foster child. The reason this came into conversation was because she had just broken up with her first ever boyfriend, and felt that the experience he was putting her through felt the same as when she got told she was a foster child.

My idea was to create a documentary about her journey, although would be filmed using visuals to represent her deep moments as well as the use of second screen too. I thought that second screen (mobile phones) would be useful for archive images of her when she was younger, or footage that is personal to her and would rather only one viewer see this than a shared experience watching first screen.


My idea has now been undertaken with myself, Natalie and Tom. Furthermore the next assignment is to carry this through, however we will not have any taught lessons therefore will be marked on attending tutorials, organisation and progress. Furthermore I also created a Time Plan when I did the pitch to the class, so that if my idea got chosen we had a Time Plan to follow which also had our other subject deadlines in and our work fitted around that.
