Creating my own Website

03:28

Throughout Digital Media Tools one of our tasks was to create our very own website using Adobe Dreamweaver, furthermore within a previous blog I had explained how I was getting used to the software.

Meanwhile before creating the website I visited a variety of websites, where I looked at specific layouts, fonts, colours and themes. Furthermore I wanted mine to be different to what is already out there.

I created a logo which would appear on the website this is currently my initials with "Media Creativity" underneath which gives a brief summary of what the website is going to portray.

Furthermore when researching different websites, I had noticed that nearly all had a logo which made the audience aware of what website they are on. Along with advertising that brand name.

I have given a brief summary about myself just to let the audience be aware of who I am furthermore I have also added a link to this blog. Therefore the audience can then see more work which I have done throughout the whole of my media course rather than just the Digital Media Tools Module.

Ideally I also added all the images which I had taken and edited throughout the course a long with the projects which I had completed too. Finally I added a contact page where the audience can view my contact details if they wanted to contact me about my work.

I created the website as simple as possible as this helps the audience navigate easily around the website. Furthermore I did not use to much text, as It was almost an image based site which I think is more appealing to an audience. Subsequently many people do not like to spend too much time reading information. Although, to enhance this website I did initially create an image slideshow for the gallery page, however there were problems with this when using the University's computer. Meanwhile I would also like to add background music too, because this encourages audience engagement.
