All those years I have studied within education, and it is nearly at an end. Surprisingly it is quite a fright, the thought of not starting that continuous routine of education again in September...
Meanwhile, I am extremely proud of myself, to have stuck at it, even when most of my friends are in full time work. When you see them all with the flash cars, latest clothes... being a student it is hard to watch- but I know in the long run I will achieve my goal and it has extremely been worth my while.
I can't wait to start earning an income now :)
I am pleased that I got another assignment back achieving a high first of 83%- I am really pleased with my progress for my final year because I have approached all tasks with a can-do attitude.
And on that note- I have handed my Dissertation in, therefore we only have two weeks left to create a showreel and it's SUMMER!
I had an amazing time working in the Owners and Trainers Restaurant/Exclusive VIP Bar. Furthermore, Initially I had to have an interview before I got this role, and there were five stages to go through and I successfully passed within stage 1.
I looked after Alan King who is the trainer of Godmejudge which ran in the Grand National- along with looking after his family who owned the horse. Furthermore, after spending three days with them, they gave me a hug and a Owner pen of the Grand National 2015- there words were "You have been the best waitress that has ever looked after us before"
I was sad to see them go. Initially the suite was named Sefton Suites, however now it is named 1750- which is the date of the first Grand National.
I was the one of the first waitress to serve in this suite.

For my dissertation research my tutor told me to go away and research "Nicholas Negroponte"- who is the founder of "One Laptop per Child"

After reviewing the website, I think that this idea is incredible and technology has come to an advantage for the poorer areas which cannot afford teaching and education.
"Kids learn to solve their own challenges and one day help us solve ours and thats how we change the world"- thought this quote was fantastic, allowing everybody to be able to become successful no mater where they live, what nationality they are and it gives hope to everybody.

My University friend asked if I could help her with filming a work shop about people who have experienced "Hate-Crime".
The influence of bringing the gay community together was because of what happened to the innocent, young, male from Liverpool- Micheal Causer (watch video below)
The idea of the campaign is to show evidence to the police, that people are still going through hate-crime and making people aware that it is still happening.
The group will also collaborate ideas of what they think the community should involve, for those who are gay and feel less inferior than others. This might involve; education, support services and job opportunities.
I will upload the video and images when I have permission to upload.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with everybody involved in the campaign, and after hearing what some of them have been through is mind-blowing. I wish all the team every success in making a change to their community!
Besides doing my University work I am still undertaking an internship at Seen Liverpool Magazine... I am having an amazing time and I have learnt a lot through this experience...
Seen Liverpool:- Rebecca asked if I could cover the Vogue Ball Poster behind the scenes shoot. Before doing this I did not know about the Vogue Ball- however Rebecca told me some information, whilst I did some online research before attending the ball so I had more knowledge about it.
The photographer of the event was extremely interesting, as her studio is within her living room of her home. The photography on the walls, are her own- she was a quirky, friendly, inspiration.
Darren Suerez the director was a pleasure to meet, and he has a great eye for detail.
I loved watching the model get his make-up done, definitely enjoyed the "glamour" side of the media.
I am now just in the editing stage of creating the video for Seen Liverpool.
Michelle Mone Exclusive Interview

My manager also asked if I could cover Michelle Mone who is an influential entrepreneur, who has brought her lingerie range to Liverpool. Due to having experience with high profile people within my previous head waitress role at a four star hotel, I was confident about interviewing Michelle.
She is a great inspiration and has some great advice about those who want to set up their own business.

Healthy Liverpool:-
My manager is also very close with Liverpool City Council who are about to make changes to Liverpool and everybody's health. They have teamed together with the public of Liverpool and held an event at St Georges Hall. Their idea is to bring the NHS and the public together, and for everyone to have their say in order to make Liverpool a better, healthier place.
It seems to be that they have lots planned for the future of Liverpool, to educate everybody about their health and to rethink what they are eating with measurements of sugar and fat that we are putting into our bodies.

Rebecca is pleased with my progress and took me for some tapas, were we had some lovely non-alcoholic cocktails!
After all the hard work which I put into the last production project at University, it really did pay off.
I GOT A FIRST!
Initially at the beginning of the year I spoken to my lecture about how much I would love to get the highest marks in my University projects. Furthermore, he said start with a "can do" attitude, put the effort in- and it will pay off. He gave me hope, and with the "can do attitude" the results have shown.
Now for the dissertation to write... lots of studying in the library...

I mention Sherry Turkle a lot in this as she has studied relationships, human behaviour and do we no went to unplug in regards to technology. The internet has enabled everyone to connect between space and time, it has collaborated ideas to invent bigger and better creations but is it becoming a substitute to face to face interactivity, would we rather be on our own with our technology? Why do we need to go and see our friends/family, when we can just contact them from the palms of our hands?
I am finding it extremely interesting, whilst it has made me reevaluate how I use technology myself and knowing when to unplug.

I posted this on Instagram where I express my thoughts and my life informally. The response from my followers were 27 likes, which portrays that although everybody is acting in this manner, they do realise what relationships are becoming through technology.
